Located in Costalegre in the Mexican Pacific beaches on the south coast of Jalisco, Costa Careyes is an exclusive lifestyle community founded by GianFranco Brignone in 1968.

Castles

Sol de Occidente and Sol de Oriente. The most stunning homes on the Mexican Pacific, these Careyes style castles were designed to thrill. Each castle is situated on a prime oceanfront point with panoramic views of ocean, beaches, coastline and mountains. These enchanting hideaways commune with their natural surroundings like no other castle. They are fully staffed with butler, chef, maids, used to deliver taylor made service. The exemplary service is attentive but un-obtrusive. Each is a tranquil oasis.

Villas

All of the villas are designed in the unique Careyes style of architecture and many of them have appeared in design magazines around the world. They all feature stunning views and lush tropical landscaping which creates a very private personal paradise. They are all fully staffed with a butler, chef, and maid who provide personalized and friendly service. Places for memorable experiences.

Bungalows in Playa Rosa. The world’s smallest hotel. The ultimate in barefoot chic. Three stylish beach bungalows, ideally situated for sunning on the quiet Playa Rosa or swimming in the warm protected waters of Careyes Bay. On the same beach is the acclaimed Playa Rosa Restaurant with its fine food, wildly romantic decor and musical entertainment.

Polo Club

Located three miles south of the Costa Careyes. The club has two regulation size bermuda fields, stables and restaurant Rancho Don Andres.

Games are normally held four times a week and individuals and teams are welcome. A la carte games and events can be arranged. There are more than 60 very handy ponies for rent and polo pros.

Green fees from $(US)80 per game per player, monthly and seasonal rates available. Higher rates for Christmas / New Year’s holidays…

Schedule

Our regular seasons runs from November to April, a time of low humidity, cools nights and an average temperature of a pleasant 72- 76 F.

We feature a wide range of special events including the Copa de l’ Amistad to be played in both Paris and Careyes, Copa Agua Alta, the Invitational Master Cup and the club hosted the playoff matches from the FIP World Polo Championship Mexico.

Polo watchers are welcome without charge.

Getting there

Careyes, located on Highway 200 in Costalegre, State of Jalisco, is a pleasant 2 1/2 drive south of Puerto Vallarta and only a little over an hour north of the Manzanillo International Airport.

Luxury car service and taxis are available at both airports but a rental car is recommended for your stay in Careyes in order to explore the surrounding areas. In addition, private small airplane charters operate between the Puerto Vallarta International Airport and a 4,000 ft. grass landing strip near Careyes in Chamela.
