Let’s imagine a world where people belong to the Earth, without taking into consideration the Country they were born. A world where we are all brothers sharing diversity, joy, the colours and energy of life.
All the Colors of the World is an artistic project by Max Serradifalco who’s main idea is to emphasize on the unity of the world. He collected different satellite photos from across the globe and blended them into different countries national flags. Using images from all over the world to create a certain flag, Max strongly accentuated the concept that borders are arbitrary.
The flag is much more than a symbol of a certain country, it stands for culture, traditions, beliefs, history and much, much more. A flag is surely amongst the most sacred things of a country, yet this identification can be exactly what separates groups of people from one another. And all what this beautiful artistic project does is question these distinctions, using earth, water or any other landforms from a country or a number of countries to create another single country’s flag.
